Product Description

Our pluralistic society accepts all... all except Jesus. Joseph Stowell brings to light our need to be undaunted advocates for Jesus in a world that has no tolerance for Him or His followers. How do you reach those who do not have a churched background, or are openly hostile to the good news of Jesus Christ? Would you miss church to go fishing with your colleague at work? What should or would you do when golfing with three non-believing friends, and they want to play for 'prize money'? Joseph Stowell's style is biblical and insightful, but always within reach of today's reader.

Endorsements

My good friend Joe Stowell points out that after 9/11, God was—at least temporarily—back. But, in the mushy ecumenism that followed the attacks, Jesus was not welcome. Rather than indulge in hand-wringing, Stowell analyzes the problem and goes on to provide wise, practical principles for making Jesus known in our challenging day and in our jaded culture.
-Chuck Colson, founder Prison Ministries, author, speaker

In The Trouble with Jesus, Joe Stowell exposes the emptiness of the post 9/11 American spirituality as paganism dressed up in the clothes of patriotic unity. The book is a "must-read" if you call yourself a Christian. As your eyes read the words, the ears of your heart will hear the clear trumpet call of the King as He rallies His troops, challenging each of us to lift high the banner of His Name!
-Anne Graham Lotz, AnGeL Ministries

In this passionate, persuasive, and practical book, Joe Stowell offers a powerful antidote to the all-religions-are-equal attitude that's sweeping America. The answer is Jesus. Read this inspiring book and learn fresh ways to bring others to Him.
-Lee Strobel, Author, The Case For Christ and The Case for Faith

Everything about this book is a crucial and timely people. This is a "must read" book for every believer, especially spiritual leaders. Thought-provoking and highly motivational to me personally.
-Henry T. Blackaby, Home Mission Board, Southern Baptist Convention

Jesus and the message of the Cross don't always bring "peace" but often cause a clash with contemporary "spiritual" philosophy.  Joe Stowell has written a thought-provoking book that challenges Christians to shine as light in a post 9/11 world where the word "God" is acceptable but "Jesus" is not.
-Pastor Jim Cymbala, The Brooklyn Tabernacle Church

Joe Stowell's latest book, The Trouble With Jesus, is a compelling testimony to the pre-eminence of Jesus and a clear call to authentic Christian faith.  In a post 9/11 world of new paganism and religious confusion, this is a message which begs to be read.  I am so thankful for Dr. Stowell's willingness to share his bold heart and faithful witness.  He is God's man with God's message for our times.  This book is a life-changer!
-Dr. Jack Graham, Senior Pastor, Prestonwood Baptist Church
