PERMISSIONS
Written permission is required to reprint or reproduce in any form or format material from Moody Publishers, Northfield Publishing, or any other imprint of Moody Publishers, a ministry division of The Moody Bible Institute of Chicago (“Moody Publishers” or “Moody”). If you wish to obtain permission, please read the following guidelines carefully and complete the Permissions Request Form below. Any permission granted by Moody Publishers pursuant to the Permissions Request Form is subject to Moody’s Permission Standard Terms and Conditions.
PERMISSIONS FOR USING THE LOVE LANGUAGE™ QUIZ/ASSESSMENT
Please do not submit a Permissions Request Form asking for permission to distribute or reproduce the 5 Love Languages™ quiz/assessment in any format, whether in print or online; we do not give permission for these requests. The official quiz/assessment (couples, singles, teens, children) may be taken online at www.5lovelanguages.com, and downloaded/printed for use from there provided that it is (i) not edited, supplemented, or modified in any way, (ii) distributed free of charge, and (iii) not uploaded online. You may also provide or include in other materials a link to www.5lovelanguages.com to direct people to the quiz at www.5lovelanguages.com, but you may not upload the quiz/assessment to any other site.
PERMISSIONS FOR MAKING PHOTOCOPIES
Please do not ask to photocopy large amounts of copyrighted material that is still in print; we do not give permission for these requests. However, feel free to contact our customer service department (1.800.678.8812 or at: mpcustomerservice@moody.edu), which provides discounts for materials purchased for ministry purposes.
If you want to make photocopies from a Moody Publishers book for a class, Bible study, church group, or Sunday school, you may make up to 30 copies of a single page (or up to 250 words) from a Moody Publishers book provided that all of the following four conditions are met: (1) that it is distributed only within your class or church group, (2) it is distributed free of charge, (3) it is not uploaded online, and (4) the source information (author, book title, publisher, copyright year) is cited/attributed on each copy. Moody Publishers reserves the right to revoke the foregoing permission at any time for any reason in its sole discretion.
Our permissions department does not advise what is or not “fair use”. The U.S. Copyright Office provides a basic, high-level summary of copyright fair use on its website, which you can access by clicking the following link, and the International Trademark Association provides a basic, high-level summary of fair use of trademark on its website, which you can access by clicking the following link. However, fair use is highly fact specific, and we recommend you consult with an attorney for guidance on what constitutes fair use in a particular case.
To request permission to use content from a Moody Publishers work, fill out the following permissions form below, outlining your requests. Please allow up to 4 weeks for a response.
We're glad to serve you in this way. Thank you for your interest in Moody Publishers.
