LOIS EVANS (B.A., Dallas Baptist University; Doctorate of Humane Letters, Eastern College) was Senior Vice President of The Urban Alternative, a national organization that seeks to bring about spiritual and social renewal through the church. Lois also served in the office of the Senior Pastor at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church, on the National Religious Broadcasters Board, and with many other organizations. She was also the founder of The First Lady Ministry.In addition to numerous magazine and newsletter articles, Lois was the author of Stones of Remembrance and Seasons Of A Woman's Life. Larry M Lake

DR. LARRY M. LAKE is the coauthor of Captain Edward Ulrich's Out There Beyond Beyond. Larry has written articles about literacy, education, mission, mental health, and aviation. Many of his interests have sprung from early immersion in missionary endeavor when his parents were missionaries in the Baliem Valley of West New Guinea from 1957-1965. His Ph.D., from the University of Pennsylvania, was based on field research of the cross-cultural teaching of writing in New Guinea. He taught in Christian high schools for ten years and retired from Messiah College after 31 years in which he taught literature, writing, and anthropology and was the director of the writing program. His book about American explorer Richard Archbold's 1938 discovery of the Baliem Valley is due out soon from a university publisher. Larry and his wife, Mary Beth, live in Chicago and have an adult son and daughter, and two granddaughters.
