Dr. Paul Enns has served as minister of biblical training & leadership developmentat

Idlewild Baptist Church since July 1995. He attended Dallas Theological Seminary,

earning a ThD in Bible exposition in 1979. In addition to his teaching position at Dallas,

Dr. Enns has held positions at Luther Rice Seminary, Talbot Theological Seminary, and Word of Life Bible Institute. He was instrumental in establishing the Tampa Bay extension of

Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and now serves there as the director and as a professor of systematic theology.

Dr. Enns has served as scholar in residencefor the Lockman Foundation since 1989, where he functions as an editor and translator of the New American Standard Bible. He has written twelve books, including: Moody Handbook of Theology (Third Edition); Approaching God: Daily Reflections for Growing Christians; the Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John Gospel Commentary; Heaven Revealed, and Everything Happens For A Reason.

Dr. Enns enjoyed 45+ years with his beloved wife, Helen, before her home-going to heaven

in 2005. He resides in the Tampa area and has two sons.
