David Brickner

DAVID BRICKNER, Executive Director of Jews for Jesus, heads up the largest Jewish evangelistic mission in the world. Brickner received his theological training at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Judaica from Northeastern Illinois University, in conjunction with Spertus College of Judaica, in 1981. He received his Master of Arts degree in Missiology with an emphasis on Jewish studies from the Fuller School of Missions.

It was through the ministry of Jews for Jesus in the 1970s that David rededicated his life to the Lord. Brickner, who has served with Jews for Jesus since 1980, was elected Executive Director in 1996. Committed to opening up fields of ministry where Jews for Jesus is needed, he has established works in Israel, Germany, Australia, and Brazil during his tenure.

Prior to assuming his current role, Brickner directed the organization’s New York and Chicago branches, and served as minister-at-large and national director of recruiting and music. An accomplished musician, Brickner also led the ministry’s flagship mobile music/drama evangelistic team, The Liberated Wailing Wall, and produced several of their albums.

Brickner is a popular church and conference speaker whose messages have a distinct Jewish perspective as he proclaims the gospel of Christ. He has authored Christ in the Feast of Pentacost and Christ in the Feast of Tabernacles with Moody Publishers as well as Future Hope: A Jewish Christian Look at the End of the World with Purple Pomegranate. He also writes a monthly online column, Jews for Jesus Real Time. He has appeared on several local and national radio and television programs, including Larry King Live, representing Jews for Jesus.

Born in Beverly, Massachusetts, Brickner was raised in a Jewish Christian home. A fifth-generation Jewish believer in Jesus, he considers himself living proof that following Jesus does not lead a person to abandon one’s Jewish identity. Brickner resides with his wife, Patti, in San Francisco, California.
