Africa

The big, diverse continent of Africa has many countries and many different reading preferences. Yet some things are always the same. African readers want books to help them strengthen their marriages, care for their children, and provide leadership for their churches. One particularly strong theme among African readers is spiritual warfare and overcoming the Adversary.
Our publishing partner in South Africa tells us:
- "Books dealing with local current affairs, politics, and the economy are the most popular." How about Michael Rydelnik's Understanding the Arab-Israeli Conflict or Brian Fikkert's and Kelly Kapic's Becoming Whole?
- "We unfortunately do not have a very strong reading culture, and books are still considered a luxury. The cost of literature when compared to average income makes that inevitable. That said, South Africans are very keen on escapism, and mass market fiction is always a winner!" Check out Tessa Afshar's Pearl in the Sand.
- "What inspires me the most is that we have sold over 530,000 units of 5 Love Languages books in both English and Afrikaans." Praise God! You can find more 5LL resources HERE.
