I loved this book because Hip-hop artist Trip Lee points to God the whole time. Backed with scripture, he proves that all of our needs were meant to be met by one God. Its a breath of fresh air when an artist can call out the lies and point us in the direction of the true good life. Including lyrics to his music at the end of each chapter, this entire book invites you to rethink your motives and really start living to glorify God.

Trip Lee offers a fresh perspective reminding that our life does not belong to us and we are called to experience everlasting freedom and joy through the will of our Creator.
Though still in his twenties, Trip Lee uses wisdom beyond his years to share his perspective from his own life that has helped him focus on what matters most to him. http://www.philasun.com/news/3742/28/The-Good-Life----Hip-Hop-Rap-artist-Trip-Lee-redefines-the-ultimate-and-satisfying-life.html

The content of the book was solid without being overly heavy. While dealing with weighty issues and reshaping the readers worldview, he still managed to navigate the issues of the faith without bogging us down with information and intellectual jargon. He writes to get his point across in everyday terms and moves on. And it was more like Trip was sitting on the steps with you talking about a new way of life. http://www.rapzilla.com/rz/reviews/5202-review-trip-lee-the-good-life-book

There is so much about the idea of retirement that appeals to me. I can look at those advertisements that show the silver-haired husband and wife walking on the beach convinced that they have the good life. Thankfully Christian hip-hop artist, Trip Lee, helped redefine what it means.
He realized that the only good is in and comes from Christ. The Good Life will help many reevaluate our definition of what is truly good. http://www.wogmagazine.com/2012/10/the-good-life-a-review/

I was impressed with his discernment of the culture and the gospel. For me it wasn't until section two that the book really started to pick up. From there I was eager to get more information on what my life should look like as a believer. I'm so happy Trip wrote this book because now we have an opportunity to understand what he wants us to know as his fans. This book offers a road map to get to the next level. http://www.z180radio.com/writerz-block.php?id=13

It’s not only a good read, but it’s also a quick read. The world and even many church leaders have fed us lies about what the good life is. Many assume that it is the pursuit of the American Dream, living a life that feels pleasurable or simply doing what seems right. Trip Lee unpacks the truth of the Gospel by examining what it means to “live by faith in a good God.” That is the good life. http://wadeoradio.com/book-review-trip-lee-the-good-life/?doing_wp_cron=1347636716.1125528812408447265625
