If you are looking for an informative and stimulating Christian book this one is instructive, thought provoking & practical. In Buyer Beware she begins by taking us back to the 1600’s and John Bunyan’s classic work, Pilgrim’s Progress, to launch into discussions about our present public square; “Vanity Fair” was and still is a rough place. Parshall prepares us to understand and enter into the marketplace of ideas with tools and dialogue ideas. http://www.midwestoutreach.org/buyer-beware-a-review

This book is a strong reminder of how dangerous the world of ideas can be, and how treacherous the journey is to our spiritual life. The danger ought to push us nearer to God, to depend on the Holy Spirit for guidance and for boldness to stand up, and to shine forth for the Truth of Jesus Christ. As we cultivate a "buyer beware" mindset in the world, we also develop a Christ-aware and a Word-and-Prayer disposition. http://www.booksaint.blogspot.com/2012/09/buyer-beware-finding-truth-in.html

The author makes the comparison of today's culture to Pilgrim's Progress and how it speaks to us today. The author encourages us to be witnesses for God's kingdom in today's culture, yet she also warns us that we need to be prepared and goes on to give us instructions regarding that preparation. It was a very thought-provoking and insightful read and one I highly recommend if you want to make a difference in your sphere of influence. http://readingroombookreviews.com/2012/October/buyer.html

A clearly thought out presentation, Buyer Beware can motivate people to consider better solutions to social problems. The author presents practical actions that range from easy to more difficult, but can impact the culture for good. Jeremiah’s message was to ‘work for the good of the city where you live’, because that brings peace for everyone as God desires. http://samcivy.wordpress.com/2012/09/22/change-the-culture-for-better/#comments
