Everyone struggles to find explanations for their suffering. Dr. Paul Enns answers several tough, critical questions that all revolve around this central quandary of "why" - why does God allow suffering? Is suffering the result of judgment for sin? Are there even explanations for the terrors and trials we face? Dr. Enns brings answers from Scripture and from his experience as a professor and pastor, and a wounded one at that. More than anything, he brings comfort and clarity to people who are desperate for it.

Everything Happens For A Reason, written by Dr. Paul Enns, addresses the issue of human suffering from a Biblical position. Dr. Enns shares personal stories and numerous Scripture references. So, if you are suffering or know someone who is and they are asking “Why?” I recommend reading this book. In it is found both Biblical and practical insights to provide help and to offer hope to the suffering in the times of need that arise as a result of experiencing suffering. http://tinyurl.com/brpx4bv

The ending of the book talks about heaven and reminds us that the problems we encounter on earth are only temporary. The author shows how we should use the hard times to grow in our relationship to the Lord. I gave this book 4/5 stars because I felt like there was a lot of emphasis on the retelling of bad things happening and not enough on pointing to the Lord as the one in charge (no matter the circumstances). ireneschristianreviews.blogspot.com/2012/06/everything-happens-for-reason-gods.html
