Afshar has given us a very accessible person in her portrayal of Rahab—a portrayal that has the ability to reach out, draw us in and touch us profoundly. An unforgettable story, superbly written, and well worth more than one read. A great seasonal gift! Pass it forward. http://eyes2creviews.blogspot.ca/2012/11/a-woman-of-all-ages-for-all-ages.html

The author spends a great deal on developing the character of Rahab, which at times made the story move a little slow. Rahab was such a strong and brave woman, and her desire to please God is so inspiring. However, at times, the story did move a bit slow because of the references of what was happening at that time in history. Nonetheless, it is an inspiring story and worth reading. I STRONGLY recommend this book. Read full review at http://booksintheburbs.com/2011/08/08/monday-mini-review/

I loved all the stories of the Bible, still do, but the woman Rahab....her story is of a profound redemption, so miraculous, so perfectly the way of God. Beyond the emotion, I could tell the author was humbly down on her knees as she wrote this from her heart. LOVED this book, and definitely is on my "to recommend" list. I've read it several times over, myself! Read my full review http://www.amazon.com/review/RVVT3BXXPWNJL/ref=cm_cr_pr_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=0802458815&nodeID=&tag=&linkCode

This is actually a great book for anyone who wonders about the forgiveness of God and how one's past can be erased by God. The analogies used by various characters to explain to Rahab how she was accepted by God and how others such as her sister were forgiven despite such horrible sins are truly amazing. I would be hard pressed to explain it any better than Ms. Afshar does in her book. See my full review - Abookloverslibrary.weebly.com

Wow! This is the first book I’ve read by Tessa Afshar, but it will not be the last. I love historical fiction, especially Biblical fiction. It always amazes me how the authors interpret the Bible stories, adding details to the stories that are not in the Bible. This book is full of adventure and romance. Finding this book was like finding a pearl in the sand, a real treasure. I give this book 5 stars! See review at http://www.shelfari.com/johnnyyak
